A new way to build websites and apps. Jamstack projects are the best combination of what a static website and a headless CMS can do. You can focus on your content and server that to your users is faster than the speed of light.
What is Jamstack?
The acronym JAM stands for JavaScript, APIs and Markup. Now, all three of these technologies are used time and time again, there is not necessarily anything new about them. However, the way these established technologies are combined provide us with an innovative and modern way to build our websites.
A Jamstack site is based on two main philosophies:
- The first one is pre-rendering, which is creating a view for your user before it is requested. Jamstack uses static webpages that have HTML codes ready to go, as opposed to being activated only after a request has been made.
- The second Jamstack site philosophy is decoupling, which allows us to separate various services, therefore making each individual service easy to maintain or swap out for something different.
Moreover, a Jamstack website is secure because it does not use a traditional server. The lack of a server or database does not leave room for hackers to damage or exploit sensitive information.
Additionally, Jamstack web development is able to provide us better performance because it does not have to wait for codes to be processed by a back-end server, but rather it is available for the user directly.
Most Jamstack websites are based on static pages that are ready to go at the touch of your fingertips. Jamstack makes it easy for web users to quickly click through sites.
What are the best uses for Jamstack?
It is important to remember that there is no limit to what you can create using Jamstack, however, there are some cases where this ‘stack’ truly shines, such as:

Endgame changes the way we sell software. This company sole focus is on product-led sales. They are keeping up with the times. They are aware that company owners and executives are not the only ones trying to buy software. Most software is provided to the user on a free trial basis. During this free trial the user can determine whether they want to buy the software.
One challenge that we tackled with this project is adjusting the content editing options to make them as intuitive and modular as possible. Another key issue that we were able to resolve was page speed optimization. Meanwhile, some key features of this project include static files, a user-friendly image editor and finally, a dynamic site map.
Can you track our progress?
If you want to be more involved in the project and closely monitor our progress when working on your project, you can do that through two methods:
Staging
If you want rudimentary reports and learn what part of your project we’re working on, you can simply fire our staging URL and check the progress of your project. We always keep it up-to-date and you can access it at any time.
GitHub
On the other hand, if you need more than rudimentary info and want to monitor the nuts-and-bolts of the operation, we’ll add you to the project’s GitHub repository where you can see the slightest contributions our team makes to your project
Frequently asked questions about Jamstack websites
Lowers hosting costs by allowing you to use the CDN’s servers. You get service from a provider that specializes in website content delivery. You get better performance for your website since the content is served faster by servers closer to your visitors.
By removing the need to own servers and dealing with VPS, we can focus on building great products. No need to deal with setting up and maintaining hardware. We can focus on product development and not servers. Ability to easily scale as traffic grows
JAMstack is not a CMS. JAMstack is a JavaScript API-based Markup methodology to prepare and serve static HTML files right from your CDN. You don’t need it when making use of something like WordPress when the content you serve will be dynamically generated for viewing in a browser, but when you are looking for something more simplistic it’s important to understand the difference.
One thing that’s clear when it comes to static site generators is that JavaScript has become the number one platform for modern developers. While there are many options for this sort of thing out there, some of the most popular ones include: NextJS, GatsbyJS, and NuxtJS.
Deciding which headless CMS is best for your business involves more than the price. Your content management system is the hub that helps you manage all of your digital content in one place. Without a reliable CMS that has flexible APIs (Application Programming Interface), data may get convoluted and other products may be affected. Similarly, if your company’s vision expands beyond what you assumed it would entail when choosing your CMS, to adapt without the right tools could be disastrous making it very important not to neglect this choice.

Testimonials
I cannot speak more highly of Dawid, Daniel and the entire Acclaim team. They have been incredible in how fast they delivered extremely high quality code, with little to no need for QA. Not only did they deliver on everything that we had spec’ed out, but they also implemented significant improvements on their own. Cannot recommend them enough!
