Acclaim wants everyone to be able to use acclaim.agency, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use. This statement covers the whole site.
How accessible this site is
We build the site to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. In practice that means:
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring.
- Text and controls keep a contrast of at least 4.5 to 1.
- Pages follow a heading outline a screen reader can navigate.
- Motion stops when your system asks for reduced motion.
- Content is in the page itself, so it works without JavaScript.
How we check it
Automated checks on every build
An accessibility test runs on every page before anything is published.
Keyboard and screen reader passes
We walk the main pages with a keyboard and with VoiceOver.
Real devices
We test on phones and desktops in Safari, Chrome and Firefox.
Plain English
What is not there yet
The booking calendar on the “Book a call” page is run by Calendly, so we do not control its markup. If it does not work for you, write to us and we will book the call by email instead.
Tell us about a barrier
We will fix the problem or, while we do, give you the same information another way.
Questions people ask
Which standard do you follow?
WCAG 2.1 at level AA, the standard the European Accessibility Act points to through EN 301 549.
Do you use an accessibility overlay?
No. Overlays do not fix the code underneath and often get in the way of assistive technology. We fix the site itself.
Can you make our site accessible too?
Yes. Accessibility is part of every site we build, and we also audit and fix existing sites.
