Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. This policy lists every cookie and every similar piece of browser storage acclaim.agency uses, grouped by the four choices in the cookie banner, and what happens if you say no.
Before you choose
Until you make a choice in the cookie banner, the site stores nothing in your browser except the cookie that remembers that choice, and none of the statistics, marketing or preference tools below loads.
One thing does reach Google before you choose, and after you decline. Google Analytics receives a basic signal for each page: the page address, the time, your browser type and an approximate region. It carries no cookie and no identifier, so it cannot connect one visit to the next. Google uses it only to estimate our total traffic in aggregate.
Plain English
Cookies we set
| What it does | How long it stays | |
|---|---|---|
| CookieConsent | Necessary. Cookiebot: remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again | 12 months |
| acclaim-currency | Necessary. Browser storage, not a cookie: remembers the currency you picked for prices | Until you clear it |
| _ga, _ga_* | Statistics. Google Analytics: counts visits and pages in aggregate | Up to 14 months |
| acc_src | Statistics. Remembers which ad, search or assistant first brought you here, so we know where an enquiry came from | 90 days |
| _clck, _clsk, MUID | Marketing. Microsoft Clarity: shows how pages are used, such as clicks and scrolling, with form fields masked. It also sets Microsoft's advertising identifier, so it loads only with marketing consent | Up to 12 months |
| _hjSessionUser_*, _hjSession_* | Statistics. Hotjar: heatmaps and recordings of how pages are used. Form fields are masked | Up to 12 months |
| Ahrefs Web Analytics | Statistics. Counts visits without setting any cookie | Sets no cookie |
| __hstc, hubspotutk, __hssc, __hssrc | Marketing. HubSpot: recognizes a returning visitor and links earlier visits to an enquiry you send us | Up to 6 months |
| _fbp | Marketing. Meta Pixel: measures our ads on Facebook and Instagram and lets us show them to people who visited the site | 90 days |
| _gcl_au | Marketing. Google: measures our Google ads and lets us show them to people who visited the site | 90 days |
| Apollo.io | Marketing. Recognizes which company a visit comes from, from its network address | Set by Apollo.io |
| Calendly cookies | Preferences. Set by calendly.com inside the booking calendar. Without them the calendar opens on Calendly instead | Set by Calendly |
| VideoAsk cookies | Preferences. Set by videoask.com for the video chat in the corner of the page. Without them the video chat does not show | Set by VideoAsk |
If you withdraw consent, these cookies stop being set and our first-touch cookie is deleted on your next page view. Cookies a provider has already stored on its own domain follow that provider’s policy; you can delete them in your browser settings.
Cookies set by others
The booking calendar on the “Book a call” page is hosted by Calendly. Nothing from Calendly loads while you read the page. If you open the calendar, your browser fetches it from Calendly, and their infrastructure provider sets a cookie named __cf_bm on the calendly.com domain. It tells bot traffic apart from real visitors, expires after thirty minutes and is set by Calendly, not by us.
If you never open the calendar, that cookie is never set.
Google, Microsoft, Hotjar, HubSpot, Meta, Apollo.io and VideoAsk can also set cookies on their own domains once you accept the matching category. The declaration below lists every cookie by name, and Cookiebot updates it with a monthly scan of the site.
Changing your choice
Open the cookie settings link in the footer at any time to accept or withdraw consent. Your browser settings can also block or delete cookies. Blocking the consent cookie means the banner will ask again on your next visit.
Questions people ask
Do you use advertising cookies?
Only if you accept marketing cookies. They measure our own ads on Google, Facebook and Instagram and let us show them to people who visited the site. We do not sell data, and no one else advertises here.
Can I use the site without accepting cookies?
Yes. Every page and form works the same. Without preference cookies the booking calendar opens on Calendly instead, and the video chat does not show.
Where is the rest of my data covered?
Our privacy policy explains what we collect when you contact us or work with us, and how to see or delete it.
