Moreover every week we let you know many working hours were spent fixing your website. At this point, we will bill you for time and material. This is no longer part of our maintenance service rate.
But it is important for you to know that if you do not want us to work on your website for more than X hours per month, we will not cross that limit. We are fully transparent in our time and cost estimations. We don’t want you as our customer to be surprised by the bill or the number of hours spent on your site.
Scenario #2: Additional website edits & custom development hours
Some of our customers let us know in advance how many additional hours they need for our developers to spend in addition to our standard maintenance services. So for example, they pick the silver plan plus 20 hours and we can give them a discount. During these extra hours, we can carry out various development services such as speed optimization, customizing a plugin, boosting site security, etc.
It’s important to note, however, that if you do not give us enough tasks to fill those previously agreed upon 20 hours, they do not transfer to the next month. You lose those hours & are charged for them.
It is a good idea to establish these hours ahead of time so that we logistically make time for your project. If you are to reach out to us that you have 60 hours worth of tasks that need to be done, yesterday. We may not be able to logistically make room for your project and those tasks.
If you are lucky we may be able to get some work done, but definitely not all of it. So planning ahead and establishing additional working time upfront is the best option.
